GUIDELINES FOR SUPPLYING ARTWORK
Accepted Formats (Mac or PC)
• EPS files
• Adobe Creative Cloud 2018 or lower (i.e. AI/PSD/INDD)
• PDF Files (preferred) with images and fonts embedded
or text outlined
• TIF format - minimum 300 d.p.i.
• 4 colour process jobs must be CMYK (RGB files will be
converted to CMYK, which will result in color shifts.)
Unacceptable Formats
• JPG, GIF or any files from the internet
• CorelDRAW or Quark
• Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint
• BMP or PCX
• RGB colours
Colour Variance
• Due to circumstances beyond our control, we cannot
guarantee exact colour matches. This holds true for the same
design on multiple products and on repeat orders.
Process Colours
• For process printing, artwork that is prepared as 4 colour
process should not contain spot colours. Ensure all colours are
converted to CMYK. All spot colors will be converted to the
closest 4 colour process match. Unfortunately, a perfect match
cannot be guaranteed.
Spot Colours
• For spot colour printing use Pantone colours only –– Do not
use process colours. Make sure that the colour information,
such as pantone numbers, is clearly marked in the file or
hard copy.
Creating, Saving & Sending Files
• Artwork templates and guidelines are available on our web
site at
www.jay-line.com.
• Do not save artwork at a lower resolution to create a smaller
file. Once a file is saved in a low resolution we cannot do
anything to change the artwork to a higher resolution. Low
resolution files will result in choppy type and fuzzy pictures.
Please include all support files used in your artwork, i.e. all
images and fonts. Send only the files we need. Do not send
any other art files.
• Artwork may be e-mailed directly to us or uploaded to our
website. Contact our office for details. For email, send your
artwork as an attachment. Make sure your company name and
phone number are in the body of the e-mail letter. Art charges
may apply to recreate artwork to make it suitable for output.
Trademarks, Copyrights and Registration Marks
• Jay-Line bears no responsibility for legal infringements.
We assume that the customer has permission to use all
designs to be reproduced on Jay-Line products.
Font Information
• All text should be converted to paths, curves or outlines. This
is the recommended method. The text will become an object
and can no longer be edited. If you need to send the fonts
along with your artwork, make sure that you submit all of them
in a ZIP file.
PRICING
Pricing Policy
• The prices in the Jay-Line catalogue are suggested retail
prices only. These prices exclude delivery and taxes.
Distributors are not under any obligation to use these prices.
Any variance from this price list will not affect the
distributor’s relationship with Jay-Line.
• We will do our best to honor prices shown until December
31st, 2020; however, Jay-Line reserves the right to change
pricing at any time. Website pricing shall supersede catalogue
pricing.
Larger Quantities
• Call for special pricing on orders larger than published price
list.
Over/Under Runs
• 10% over/under on playing cards, notepads & cubes
(adhesive & non-adhesive) will constitute fulfillment of an
order.
• 5% over/under will constitute fulfillment of an order on all
other items.
Payment terms
• Net 30 clients with established credit are expected to pay
within 30 days, deviating from those terms can result in loss of
credit.
• New clients & Prepay clients are expected to prepay their
orders on artwork approval
• We accept cheques ($40 NSF fee if returned), Visa,
Mastercard & EFT

• Pantone Matching Charge (Digital items will be Offset

• Special Ink Mix for Pad Print: $30(g)
• Special Ink Mix for Flexo Print (Wrapped Candy): $156.25(g)
• Typesetting Charges: $12.50(g) per line
• Proof Charge: 1st one is N/C - $20(g) for each change after
• Drop Ship Charges: $6.25(g) after the 2nd location
***For drop ships after 5 addresses we require an Excel

• Rush Charges: To be quoted
• Less than minimum: $68(g)
(not all items are available for less than minimum)
• Self Promotion: EQP less 10% (exceptions apply)
• Cancellation Charge: $25 net after a proof has been
sent – additional charges will apply if the order was in
production.
